This is the privacy and cookies policy for JobsJet (the Site, the App or Site/App) and the mobile applications for users seeking employment (Users) ,for users posting job advertisements in order to acquire talent on the platform (Employers) Users and for the Employers of the platform and the app. The Site is operated, and the App provided, by JobzGenie Limited (we, us and our). For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, we are the data controller.
We are committed to protecting your privacy on-line. We appreciate that you do not want your personal information distributed indiscriminately and here we explain how we collect information, what we do with it and what controls you have.
We recognise the importance of Personal Data and of respecting the privacy rights of individuals. This Data Protection & Security Policy (“Policy”) sets out the principles which we apply to our Processing of Personal Data and use of Confidential Information so that we not only safeguard one of our most valuable assets, but also that which belongs to our customers and employees.
For the most part we process this information in one of two capacities, either : (i) as a Data Controller for our own internal business operations, such as human resources, administration, marketing, sales etc. or (ii) as a Data Processor when carrying out our software-as-a-service (or “SaaS”) operations for our customers. However we may undertake processing in both capacities and in such cases, employees will be specifically advised when they are processing Personal Data in both capacities.
Although the Legislation places most of the obligations upon the Data Controller, it is the responsibility of all employees to apply the provisions of this Policy in relation to all Processing of Personal Data and handling of Confidential Information, whether acting as Data Controller or Data Processor (or both). We provide employees with regular instruction in respect of such matters.
Information we may collect from you
If you register as a USER we may collect and process the following information about you:
Information (such as your name, email address, mobile telephone number and Skype ID) that you provide by; completing forms on the Site/App, including if you register as a user of the Site/App, subscribe to any service, upload or submit any material via the Site/App, request any information, or enter into any competition or promotion we may sponsor.
We will also collect or process information in connection with an account sign-in facility such as your log-in and password details; communications you send to us, for example to report a problem or to submit queries, concerns or comments regarding the Site/App or its content; information from surveys that we may, from time to time, run on the Site/App for research or feedback purposes, if you choose to respond to, or participate in, them.
We will collect and process employment details if you send or provide these details, including details of your employment history and personal attributes, as provided in connection with a posting.
Where you register as an EMPLOYER we will collect and process some or all of the above plus:
corporate information such as company name and address; name and email address of your employee registering your account; the name and nature of your business; specific identifiers of your company such as registered company numbers or VAT numbers; your contact details; the location of your business where you will require Users to perform Job/Role/s ;your payment card details for payment of charges and any other information reasonably requested by us as part of the registration process in order to access or effectively use the provided and offered system.
When placing a posting for a Job/Role/s to find Users, Employers will be asked to complete full and accurate details for the Job/Role/s posting including:
the location at which the User will be required to work; the compensation rate and type (hourly, daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, annually etc) payable to the User; the type of role and nature and quality of work required; any level of work experience required from the User; any specific skills or attributes or keywords that pertain to the job/role ; any specific placement details such as attire, uniform, equipment, materials or capabilities (such as a clean driving license) that the User might or will need if selected ;any other information that may be reasonably necessary to provide the User with an accurate description of the Job/Role/s including for example: special directions on travel to or entering the Job/Role/s location.
You are under no obligation to provide any such information. Certain features, functions or content of the services made available through the App may be restricted to users who have registered with us and accepted all terms and conditions and policies. If you should choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to provide you with Service.
When you visit the Site or access or use the App, we may, by means of cookies and/or other similar technologies, automatically collect additional information about you – such as the type of internet browser or mobile device you use, any website source from which you have come to the Site, your IP address (the unique address which identifies your computer or mobile device on the internet) and/or the operating system of your computer or mobile device. Cookies and other technologies
When you interact with the Site/App, we try to make that experience simple and meaningful. When you visit the Site or access or use the App, a web server sends a cookie or other similar technology to your computer or mobile device (as the case may be). Cookies are small pieces of information which are issued to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or access or use a mobile App and which store and sometimes track information. A number of cookies we use last only for the duration of your web or App session and expire when you close your browser or exit the App. Other cookies are used to remember you when you return to the Site/App and will last for longer.

Analytics and research
These cookies are used to understand, improve, and research products and Services, and are processed when you access the Site/App and/or related websites and apps from a computer or mobile device.
All Data requested by the Site/App is mandatory and failure to provide this Data may make it impossible for the Site/App to provide its services. In cases where the Site/App specifically states that some Data is not mandatory, Users are free not to communicate this Data without any consequences on the availability or the functioning of the service.

Users Sharing of personal data to third parties
Users are responsible for any third party Personal Data obtained, published or shared through the Site/App and confirm that they have the third party's consent to provide the Data to the Owner.
Mode and place of processing the Data
Methods of processing
The Data Controller processes the Data of Users in a proper manner and shall take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.
The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of the site (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Data Controller at any time.
The Data is processed at the Data Controller's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved with the processing are located. For further information, please contact the Data Controller.
The Data is kept for the time necessary to provide the service requested by the User, or stated by the purposes outlined in this document, and the User can always request that the Data Controller suspend or remove the data.
Uses made of your information
We use your personal information which we collect to:
enable us to provide you with the services and information offered through the Site/App and which you request; to resolve or troubleshoot any problems; administer your account with us; audit the downloading of the App and data from the Site/App; improve the layout and/or content of the pages of the Site/App and customise them for users; and identify visitors or users of the Site/App.
Please note that where you opt-out of receiving marketing communications from us, we may still send you service communications about your use of the Site and App and the related services you have requested from us.
Information sharing within our Apps
For registered users of the Site/App:
You are able and free to add personal information as an Employer or as a User.
All submitted personal information will be displayed to the other Users and Employers who use our Platform or the App who have also registered as Users or Employers. The Site/App presents filtered results according to the preferences and parameters set added, selected or uploaded by Users or Employers.
All the information an EMPLOYER posts in relation to a Job/Role/s will also be available to Users who are registered users of the applicable App.
All the information a USER posts in relation to a Job/Role/s will also be available to EMPLOYER’s who are registered users of the applicable App and who have created one or more posts or are seeking to acquire suitable matching talent on the Site/App.
We may disclose aggregate statistics about visitors to the Site, users of the App and services in order to describe our services to prospective partners, sponsors and other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes, but these statistics will include no personally identifiable information.
In order to deliver the service, where you are a registered user of the User App we will need to provide your information to the Employers so that they can select you for a Job/Role/s. Similarly, where you are a Employer, all information which you submit to the App in relation to the Job/Role/s will be passed on to Users.
We may disclose your personal information to any of our affiliates, or to our agents, third party service Employers or contractors who assist us in providing the services we offer through the Site/App, processing transactions, fulfilling requests for information, receiving and sending communications, updating marketing lists, analysing data, providing IT and other support services or in other tasks, from time to time. Our agents and contractors will only use your information to the extent necessary to perform their functions.
In the event that we undergo re-organisation or are sold to a third party, you agree that any personal information we hold about you may be transferred to that re-organised entity or third party.
We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, regulations, the order of a court or if we believe that such action is necessary to prevent fraud or cybercrime or to protect the Site/App or the rights, property or personal safety of any person.
External links and Third Parties
The Site/App may, from time to time, contain links/hyperlinks to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of such sites should Users or Employers choose to click/follow/execute these links.
We place great importance on the security of all personal information associated with our users. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of personal information under our control. For example, our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorised personnel have access to personal information. Whilst we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of information will never occur, we use all reasonable efforts to prevent it.
You should bear in mind that submission of information over the internet is never entirely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information you submit via the Site/App whilst it is in transit over the internet and any such submission is at your own risk.
It is advisable to close your browser when you have finished your user session to help ensure others do not access your personal information if you use a shared computer or a computer in a public place.
Storage of your information
Your personal information which we collect is sent to and stored on secure servers located in the United Kingdom. Such storage is necessary in order to process the information. Personal information may be transferred by us to our other offices and/or to the third parties mentioned in the circumstances described above (see Information sharing), which may be situated outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and may be processed by staff operating outside the EEA. The countries concerned may not have similar data protection laws to the EEA. Where we transfer your personal information we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected. By using the Site/App, you agree to this storing, processing and/or transfer within the terms and conditions described within this policy.
You have a legal right under the Data Protection Act 1998 to a copy of all the personal information about you held by us. On request, we will provide you with a copy of this information.
You have a right to correct any errors in that information.
You have the right to have your details removed from any system or database and should we receive such a request we will remove all related or collated information from our systems.

The User's Personal Data may be used for legal purposes by the Data Controller, in Court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of the Site/App or related services.
The User declares to be aware that the Data Controller may be required to reveal personal data upon request of public authorities.

Users have the right, at any time, to know whether their Personal Data has been stored and can consult the Data Controller to learn about their contents and origin, to verify their accuracy or to ask for them to be supplemented, cancelled, updated or corrected, or for their transformation into anonymous format or to block any data held in violation of the law, as well as to oppose their treatment for any and all legitimate reasons.
